It has been an honor to serve on the Saint Paul Schools Board of Education over the the three and a half years. I participated in many achievements, including hiring a new superintendent, changing start times, implementing the SPPS Achieves strategic plan, and implementation of the kindergarten assessment. My contributions were unique and many and I am very proud of what I have done on behalf of children, families and our city.
I have decided that it is time for me to serve the children and families in this great city in other ways. My campaign for re-election is officially over while I continue to work in an official capacity on the board for the children of Saint Paul through December 2019. Beyond that, I will find a new avenue to put my time and energy for kids. Know that I will always love and support the St. Paul Public Schools and the City of St. Paul.
